Thoughts - Forget Me Not Media Blog

This journal highlights some of our latest work as filmmakers and photographers. In addition to weddings, we lead documentary productions across the globe. In absolutely everything that we do, love drives our work: A love of people, a love of this beautiful world we inhabit, and a love for unique story telling pushes us to grow in our craft. This work should speak for it’s self, and we hope it speaks to you as well! So, if you love what you see, don’t hesitate to connect with us!

How We Respond - Climate Change Documentary Stories & Solutions - Whitefish, Montana

As our first front-range snow has come and gone, I am left dreaming of snowcapped peaks, waiting to be climbed, explored, and skied! So it felt only appropriate to release the How We Respond film from Whitefish, Montana today. This film is packed full of beautiful imagery of glaciers, and snow capped mountain peaks towering behind alpine lakes. Whitefish, and Glacier National Park which is just miles outside Whitefish, have always been on my bucket list to visit, and working on this film just reinforced my belief that this is a truly special area in our country! The story in this film presented a lot of early challenges in the editing phase, but the way it came together in the end is truly special. Tourism accounts for nearly 8% of global greenhouse emissions, and the irony is that because of the melting glaciers at Glacier National Park, people are flying, driving, and taking trains to GNP in numbers that surpass even Yellowstone! But, the efforts being undertaken to reduce the carbon footprint of all these tourists by the town of Whitefish, in conjunction with GNP, are pretty inspiring. The film highlights this beautiful space and some of the efforts being undertaken by Whitefish and GNP, but definitely visit the AAAS website for much more information. Like I said a few posts back, this series we helped with is part of a much larger multimedia storytelling effort. In the articles about Whitefish you’ll see epic photos by our producer and photographer Kika Tuff from Impact Media Lab, and the writing from the crew at AAAS is just phenomenal. Geek out with us, and dive in deep with this one! The more we know about solutions, the more we can take charge for ourselves! And speaking of big solutions, I can’t wait to share our film from Dane County, WI next week! (Teaser alert: Dane County is creating cutting edge technology to reduce methane…more on that next week!)
