Thoughts - Forget Me Not Media Blog

This journal highlights some of our latest work as filmmakers and photographers. In addition to weddings, we lead documentary productions across the globe. In absolutely everything that we do, love drives our work: A love of people, a love of this beautiful world we inhabit, and a love for unique story telling pushes us to grow in our craft. This work should speak for it’s self, and we hope it speaks to you as well! So, if you love what you see, don’t hesitate to connect with us!

TJ Miller & Kate Gorney's Beautiful & Whimsical Celebration...on Super 8mm!

When TJ Miller & Kate Gorney told us they wanted their wedding captured in a way that blended the feeling of The Wonder Years with the sensibility of Salvador Dali...I had no idea what that could, would, or should look like, but I knew I was up to the challenge.  (I'm a pretty big Dali and Buñuel fan, and who doesn't like The Wonder Years!)  Their celebration sounded beautiful, vintage, and just a bit off the beaten path, and that seemed like a great fit with our aesthetic.  I was mostly roped in by the fact that TJ, who had grown up near Cheesman Park in Denver, CO was truly interested in highlighting the local talent Denver has to offer.  In that vein, he brought in some people who we felt truly honored to collaborate with, such as their photographer Ashley Sawtelle, whose work from this wedding was featured in Town and Country.  We took this love for Colorado creatives one step further in the edit by collaborating with the oh-so-talented Colorado based musician, Elin Palmer.  Her song, Stora Stövlar, flows seamlessly with the super 8mm footage we captured from the day, and when we reached out to her to make sure the lyrics, which you'll note are not in English, made sense for a wedding film like this project, this is what she had to say,  "The song lyrics, by the way, are suited perfect for a wedding, the gist of it: Two people walking with big boots through a city, feeling the energy of 1000 voices of the world. Chorus: Its was just …. You and Me….today."  While they might not have been wearing literal big boots on their wedding day, as I start to see these two pop up more and more in films and other big productions, it does feel like they will be sharing some big boots together on their journey through life!  We'll let the film tell the rest of the story, but it was a magical ride, and we hope you all enjoy!
